Kites don't wander above clouds

But in stories about us, we wish they could

For we don't wander beyond concrete steps at concrete stops on the f - train

We keep passports in our pockets, but in the photos depicted are fools without

Countries don't run beyond borders

birds fly over them

like lovers, we wish for

reflections that

delude, dilute

consequences

like prey looking deep inside pradators' eyes
