The only thing for "Drive" is a nomination for sound editing? Granted "Drive" has some genius sound editing (the sound of Ryan Gosling's glove is one of the biggest moments in the film for me) but "The Artist"? The Artist is boring, I fell asleep. It's like Cliffs Notes for film students. Really obvious , gimmicky filmmaking. The whole thing is as shallow as an American Express commercial. And if I see that dog at one more awards show doing tricks on stage for votes.... You want to see this story done better see Sunset Blvd, and if you want to see silent film done right see King Vidor's The Crowd. There, I said it. By the way, who was Cliff? And why did he give his notes to everybody?
