Today while passing a wall in my neighborhood I noticed some makeshift graffiti scribbled on a wall. As it was out of the corner of my eye, I could not focus properly or in either case, I misconstrued the sentence. It read "A bas le Capitalisme!" (DOWN WITH CAPITALISM!) But in the moment, I thought it read "A Bas le Cannabalisme!" (DOWN WITH CANNABALISM!) which is a little different.
I briefly thought of the groups in protest of cannabalism throughout Paris. Groups ardent in their objection to the consumption of human flesh. I thought of them standing with their banners and their masks protesting those that would make a meal of one's fellow man.
